The button here opens the composer in Standard mode on Photo card with Nano Banana Pro selected. From anywhere else in the app, switch to Standard, choose Photo card and change Model from Auto, which would use GPT Image 2.5 Flare.

One photo per person, then a seating plan
Upload one clear photo of each person, or pick them from People, where your saved contacts live (JPG, PNG or WebP, 10 MB at most). Next, write where everyone sits and what they are all looking at: the cake, the candles, the baby.

What our four scene pictures teach about prompting Nano Banana Pro
Look at the four pictures above before you write. In "Hanukkah by the window" three people sit round a lit menorah with sugar-dusted doughnuts and wooden dreidels in front of them, glasses of tea at their elbows and street lights through the window. In "Eid dinner at Grandma's" she sits at the head in a headscarf and an embroidered dress while her son and daughter pass dishes across a table of dates, ma'amoul and baklava, a crescent lantern glowing between them and family photos pinned up among fairy lights behind.
"Bringing baby home" is bright sun on the hospital steps: a newborn with a blue ribbon, a laughing grandmother with a bouquet, balloons overhead and strangers on the steps behind. "Grandparents meet the baby" is a quiet living room, the grandparents leaning in over the mother's shoulders.
Three habits repeat. Everyone has one thing to look at or do together. Every face is turned towards the light. And the objects on the table say which day it is before anyone reads a word. Write your prompt the same way. The people in these pictures are invented; open a scene, add your people's photos, and they take those places.
Count heads first, then pick the model
The quickest way to choose a picture model here is to count the people in the picture. One person: Nano Banana 2 or GPT Image 2.5 Flare will do, and both cost less than Pro. Two to four: start with Flare, our Auto for pictures. We compared the models on real family photos and Flare kept faces best, which is why Auto uses it, and a Flare card takes about 25 seconds.
Five: switch to Nano Banana Pro. A picture here takes up to six people, but past five any model starts to gamble with faces, so for a family of seven, make two cards, one per generation, say.
Then check what else the card needs. Words drawn into the picture, like "Happy 60th, Dad", are a job for GPT Image 2, the model we use for lettering. Loud, saturated party colour is Seedream 5.0 Pro. And if the picture should move, turn the finished card into a short clip with sound.

Our picker tags Nano Banana Pro Up to 5 people and Nano Banana 2 Fast. Both take up to 8 reference photos, but once a fifth person sits down, Pro is our pick for keeping every face: Grandma, Grandpa, your mum and dad and you, with nobody at the end turning into a stranger.
Rooms that look lived in
Every scene picture here came from Pro: a Hanukkah table with doughnuts and dreidels, Grandma's Eid dinner with the lantern lit, the hospital steps with balloons. People sit where people actually sit and look at the same thing, which is what makes a made-up photo believable.
The version for the frame
Nano Banana 2 costs less and suits a quick try. Pro costs more per picture, so it earns its place on the final version: the one printed at 2K for the sideboard, or sent to the whole family on the morning of the day.
One photo per person is enough
You do not need a group shot. Pro works from one clear photo of each person, taken anywhere and in any year: Grandpa's from a cousin's wedding, the baby's from last week. Faces in good light give it the most to hold on to.

Yes. Nano Banana Pro is Google's name for its Gemini 3 Pro Image model. Here you use it inside Wish Generator, paid from the same credits as everything else, so there is no Google account or API key to set up: just choose it under Model when you start a photo card.
The pictures were. All 36 scene pictures in our catalogue were drawn with Nano Banana Pro from a written description, with invented people standing where your people will go. When you open a scene and add your people's photos, the card is made from that picture with their faces. The 20 video scenes were then animated with MiniMax H3.
One clear photo per person, face to the light, eyes visible, taken close enough that the face fills a good part of the frame. Sunglasses, heavy shadow and a tiny head at the back of a group shot give any model little to work from. JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 10 MB all work.
Because for one to four people GPT Image 2.5 Flare kept faces best when we compared the models on real family photos, and it is cheaper and faster, so Auto uses Flare. Nano Banana Pro is the one to pick by hand when a fifth person joins the picture, or when you want the look of our scenes.
